Inspired by Bakerella.  Vanilla cupcakes, brownie "burgers", cream cheese icing  acting as lettuce/ketchup/mustard (or cheese, depending on who you ask).  Sugar cookie fries.

I made the baskets, tissue paper, and fry holders myself.

I was really jumping up and down and giggling like a little girl when I was making these.  So fun!  And they were a big hit at the july 4th bbq.  I did 24 but didn't get a picture of them all assembled.

My Mom and I made this one on Saturday for Easter lunch yesterday.  Got the idea from Martha Stewart.



Everything is edible except the ribbon.  Spice cake on the inside.  It was a big hit at dinner, everyone was taking pics.

I'm going to donate blood tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. at the E street donor center if anyone feels like getting up bright and early to go with me.

My brother and sister-in-law loved it.  I got lots of compliments.  :) 

I'm making a 3 tiered cake for my brother and sister-in-laws vow renewal this weekend.  I've spent the past two days making the topper for it.  Here it is.



It's going to go on top of an aqua cake with a brown fondant ribbon around each layer.  I'm really pleased with it.

Stories like this are why I can never have a baby.

Oh my god.  I think I'm permanently traumatized.

* I just passed the $1000 mark for my TNT fund raising!! Woo!! (A lot of it is in checks/cash that don't show up on the site yet)

* I somehow twisted my ankle yesterday and it's sore/swollen today.  I'm icing/elevating today, hopefully I can run tomorrow, if not then at least by the weekend.

* I'm going to deliver GS Cookies to HH tomorrow.  Let me know if you'll be there.   I promise this time I won't forget them.

If you ordered cookies please let me know if you will be at happy hour tomorrow so I know which orders to bring.

I'm now officially a participant in the TNT fund raising and marathon training program for the Mayors Marathon on June 20.

First of all, my birds fly freely and flock with others of their kind.

Secondly, why is it any more cruel to keep a bird in a cage than it is to keep a cat in an apartment?

Also, parrots who are bred and raised by humans are just as happily bonded to humans as they would be to other birds if they were raised in the wild.

I have an unhealthy obsession with the Duggar family.  I was late to work this morning because I had to stay at home to wait for them to be on the Today Show announcing the birth of their 18th child, Jordan Grace.

They have a show on TLC.  It's almost enough to make me get cable.

For those of you who have worked full time while going to school, what is the max number of classes/credits you would take?

I'm going to take some classes and I'm thinking about taking three, but am not sure if it would be too much.  One is an online class, the other two are on the MC campus that is right near my house.

I had some people over on Sunday and for the occasion I made my first foray into mini-cup cakes.
